As the Human Sphere approaches the pinacle of their most dramatic impass, as the human spaceships and orbital bases keep suffering the most notorious damage on their now fragile structures, a beacon of hope shines inside the darkness of the Raxora Assault Carrier.
The Hyperpower has shown the true color of freedom to all humanity. History books Will reflect the heroic efforts of PanOceania during the darkest days of the Wotan blockade. In a neverending wave of battles, the tough hardened blue regulars have been able to conquer where no one ever has succeded.
“A True victory for PanOceania and a triumph humanity” said optimistic Commander Minos.
“Still too soon to claim Raxora but high morale on our ranks means a lot during these days.” Pointed out pragmatic Commander Unclesrouge.
After collecting and composing shreds of information provided by stranded drones, some experts have stated that the Combined Army could be in a “close to defeat” state. Anyway, if something’s been proven by facts during all the campaign is that the Evolved Intelligence had a plan since the begining of all the inestability in the area.
Prominent figures in the CA chain of command have been identified as primary objectives for O-12 such as Commander Jamusino and Commander bloodw4ke.
The Nomad Wotan Commercial Legation has been a very active location at the blockade during these last days. Under mutual accusations of Alien inside activity Security Ariadnan Forces and Nomad soldiers had an intense Exchange of hostile actions that generated another diplomatic nightmare last Wednesday night with a total Ariadnan takeover in one of the orbase decks.
“They are commiting completely ilegal actions against sovereign Nomad territory, so… time for the bullets to make the diplomacy.” Said Commander Kiwi_Steve
Commander JoeSmokem also said: -“Werewolves in space… just when I thought I’ve seen enough.”
“Since the beginning we were told to Secure the blockade, and you can tell we’re doing our job.” Said Commnader Toustain LeBlanc.
Despite being probably the most unexperienced units with Zero-G warfare and Orbital Assault, the Ariadnanforces have earned their place at the Wotan blockade, and some advisors even point at them as the most effective tropos deployed at the conflict zone.
“Respectfully, madam, I don’t care if they’re red, blue, white or covered in goo, to me they are all equally menacing armed enemies and I’m gonna kick them out of every unstable zone we must secure.” Commented Commnader Sergej.
The least remaining Yu Jing troops keep on fighting against Nomad forces on the Baijing orbital Consulate. Decimated, wounded, hungry and apparently abandoned by the high command, the Jade Empire heroes continue their battle against a direct Nomad aggression for something beyond victory, beyond territorial dominance, beyond state rewards… for Honor!!
The really resilient commander System_Override.
said: -“We may have to live on motor oil. If that’s the case, live on motor oil! Under no circumstances we are going to give up our lives voluntarily.”
“Not only we had they taken part in the wrong war, and failed to win it; We had also failed as sons of the Empire. An honorable death in battle, showing our courage against the enemy will bring respect to our families. So I fear nothing now.” Commander JOPA dixit.
The Indra 3 Mobase Echo Commodule remains as an active location in the blockade, ALEPH units keep on processing all the posible readings from the situation and all posible data is analized by the most brilliant minds in concillium.
“We might end up knowing more about our enemy, the Evolved Intelligence, from the Wotan incident than from all previous events in the Niemandszone.” Said Commander Gnavlos.

The silent Daraani Corvette has shown almost no activity these days. Experts continue pointing at the impressive diplomatic expertise of the Tohaa as one of their most valuable assets.
“Suffering the least ammount of defeats comes from choosing wisely the battles to fight.” Commander Alexander Wallach.
Organized, selective, disciplined… Many positive adjectives can be written about the role of theHaqqislam troops deployed at WOTAN. Not only their performance was efficient but their high command did behave wisely in terms of choosing their scenarios carefully and getting the best benefits from their advantage.
“It is obvious for me and now for the Concilium leaders that a Haqqislam leadership is the best way to organize humanity’s efforst against the Combined Army. Grown ups should be in charge and childish behaviour deserves severe punishment.” Commander Effendi Yilmaz.

Stikezone:wotan

Greetings. Carlos “Bostria” Llauger from Corvus Belli here.

I would like to point at an specific detail of the campaign. I know that there is a lot to digest, tons of information everywhere, the PDF file is full of awesome details… we are aware of that. There is a very simple major difference between this “Strikezone: Wotan” campaign and last year “Operation: Flamestrike”: the phases.
One of the main issues with the conflict in Flamia Island was that there was no specified timeframe for the missions. The players did keep fighting the battles, accomplishing the missions and scoring points but they didn’t knew the cutoff date for the campaign. That was exhausting in a certain way and didn’t allow to design a strategy.
Well, that was the first time we were designing and running an online campaign and we learned a lot from the Flamia Island project. (..that’s a good name for a band…)
Clear cutoff dates and a well defined structure was one of the ideas that we wanted to add to “Strikezone: Wotan”. If the missions and locations change during the campaign, the players will know the timeframe they’ll have to keep pushing their results.
So, now the structure for this event is:
Phase 1 from May 29th to June 19th
Phase 2 from June 19th to July 10th
Phase 3 from July 10th to July 24th
This means that on June 19th the last results for certain missions could be reported but no further. And right on that day, the Wotan blockade map will change. New missions and new locations will be available, and players and factions will have to consider a new strategy.
Right now, during Phase One we know that the missions that could be played in the PanO, YuJing and Nomads area will shut down right when Phase 2 begins. While the Ariadna and Haqqislam missions will still available for fighting after June 19th.
Also, these cutoff dates generate natural crescendos of intensity during the battles and those are the moments when the medals are won, soldier.
Good luck.

“Strikezone: Wotan” is a free online event that Corvus Belli has prepared in collaboration with Beasts of War.
This campaign consists of a series of specific missions that take place near the Wotan Blockade, the Jump Gate which connects the Paradiso system with Svalarheima. It’s a strategic enclave whose fall could endanger the whole Human Sphere.

Players will have access to the all the information needed to play these missions through the Beasts of War website. From this website they will be able to download a PDF document that includes the official background and the details of the missions that Corvus Belli has developed specifically for this campaign.

From a site especially designed to process the results of the campaign, the players will be able to report their battles to maintain their factions’ success and advance. The different locations and combat zones of the Wotan Blockade will evolve during the weeks, showing how the victories and defeats of the different armies factor into the control and domain of the different territories. The campaign will have a duration of 8 weeks, starting on May 22th. Only results reported within this period will be valid.

By participating on this Campaign the players have the possibility of earning prizes and entering in drawings. At the same time, players can also acquire “Mini Tournament Packs” or “ITS One-Shots” on the Corvus Belli official online store so their battles also count for their ITS Ranking.

There will be new missions and modifications to existing ones (i.e. new special rules) to reflect the distinctness of boarding actions and fighting in the confines of a space station environment, providing a different game experience.

Also, the final result of Strikezone: Wotan and its aftermath will be reflected in the background of subsequent Infinity books. Don’t miss the chance to be part of the story of the Infinity Universe!

This is a shared, worldwide, entertaining, and free game experience. Now is the time to choose a faction or to try a new one! But don’t hesitate; the fate of Wotan and the entire Human Sphere is in your hands!

Alive group Bit and Kiss

ALIVE! Background: Meet BIT & KISS!

– “Fuiiiiiiihss… bang!" she exclaimed while lowering her finger with an extremely dramatic movement to press the holopad.
A vertiginously passing code was visible on the screen, a beautiful spectacle for an expert, but indecipherable for the average person.
–"We’re in, KISS! Let’s see what we find," she whispered to the small remote while examining the files of the PanOceanian High Command. "Reports from different types of missions, undercover operations, main targets under surveillance…"
–"Don’t worry, we aren't in danger, even if we are tracked—I’m doing this through a booster unit… Interesting! We have a report here showing that some files from a Yu Jing laboratory have been stolen. Guess who has been accused of the theft? Correct KISS! The alien forces!"
She quickly coded the information, wiped off her digital fingerprints and turned off the holopad before putting it in a bag. "This is going to be huge," she thought.
–"I’m leaving. We need to make humanity save itself. But not without having breakfast first!" She blew KISS! a kiss and headed for the dining room to have breakfast with her parents before going to school.

BOLS EXCLUSIVE: Infinity PanO Bagh-Mari Unveiled

Corvus Belli has a new Infinity release to show off to all you BoLs readers: PanO’s jungle killers, the Bagh-Mari
Bagh Mari Unit with HMG.

Background: “The Bagh-Mari were clans of tiger killers who wandered the India of old, offering to slay any troublesome felines for coin. Nowadays, the name has been adopted by a particular PanOceanian special unit with a focus on jungle warfare. Bagh-Mari troopers are well-equipped, seasoned combatants.
Based on Acontecimento, the Bagh-Mari regiment undergoes instruction in the heart of the Great Arboreal Reserve, and is one of the staunchest advocates for this massive forest expanse. Much like their ancient, tiger-slaying namesakes, they have made a home and an ally out of the jungle.
Their environmental skillset makes them uniquely suited for combat on the surface of Paradiso, where they have earned quite the fearsome reputation by dint of their signature Covert Reconnaissance and Destruction operations. The regiment received the Bagh-Mari designation during the NeoColonial Wars, after the remarkable success of the Madhava Operation whereby they managed to rout a major airborne offensive mounted by Yu Jing Tiger Soldiers.
The Bagh-Mari regiment prefers to choose its members from amongst the Hindu population of Peshawit city and the vicinity of the Great Reserve. Veterans from other Acontecimento regiments are also routinely transferred to the Bagh-Mari, but a point is made to maintain the corps’ Hindu idiosyncrasy and their heritage as predator hunters in the depths of the jungle.”

Infinity Design: Extreme Makeover. The Yu Jing Challenge

A few weeks ago we saw the design evolution of the PanOceanian TAGs from their first incarnations to their current ones. Now it’s the turn of their rival, Yu Jing, the Asian giant.
Unlike PanOceania, who stand out for their TAG technology, the StateEmpire especially shines in the design and development of enhanced power armors in such a way that Yu Jing has some of the most iconic Heavy Infantry units in Infinity.
Comprised of Heavy Infantry units, the Invincible Army is the back bone of the Yu Jing military force. For the first design of the Invincible armor—known as Niao Zui, or “Bird Beak,” for its characteristic helmet—we tried to make them stylistically different from their PanOceanian counterparts. The design of the PanOceanian armors stood out for their aerodynamic lines and rounded edges; the Yu Jing armors focused on the Eastern taste for ornate forms, giving the pieces a certain archaic look inspired by the armors of Ancient China.
However with the design of the Shàng Jí armor, the most advanced and lightest, a more modern and high-tech look was the objective. But we wanted a look that also could set it apart from its PanOceanian equivalents. A more ergonomic design, with reinforced vertebral zones and very distinctive shoulder pads, set the lines of design that Carlos Torres, CB’s design chief, would repeat with the Zúyong model, the Terracotta Soldiers. This new version, designed for a massive deployment, served as base for all subsequent Yu Jing armors that would be modeled in 3D, replacing or overlaying those base pieces with distinct pieces that visually define each model. From this basic model the Yan Huo reinforced heavy support version was developed, as well as the elegant and sensor-packed Hsien model.
But Yu Jing not only has Heavy Infantry, it also has TAGs, and in this troop category the StateEmpire stands out for having one of the most radical changes within the Infinity range. This is the case of the Guijia, which in its time was known by the nickname “Chicken Legs,” due to its voluptuous lower limbs. It’s not even necessary to point out the changes to this resculpt, as it is evident from its charismatic design that this TAG has seen radical modifications.
The first version was based on the Landmate, specifically on the “Guges” model, from Masamune Shirow's manga Appleseed. This design was well-liked and fit very well in Infinity's concept of manga esthetics. Back then, we're talking about 2005, it was an original idea. These robust models were perfect to force the visual contrast with the stylized PanOceanian TAG. This way, the Guijia would be seen as a huge combat armor in which the pilot, squeezed into a cabin in the bulky chest, would drive this beast of destruction in contrast to the slender design of the Remote Presence TAG. They do not have a pilot inside, so their conceptual design better matches a humanoid robot. A more stylized canon emphasized this feature, by stressing the fact that there are no crewmembers inside.
But why was this Guges-style esthetics not kept with the re-sculpture of the Guijia? When it came to bringing about the image change, the decision was to keep the blunt size, but to look for a more heroic and threatening appearance by making it taller. Besides, we have to understand that the round style of the previous version is old-fashioned nowadays. However, we did not want this redesign to lose the strength so indicative of the previous version, and we wanted to keep the appearance of it being a manned war machine.
And that’s as far as we go with Yu Jing today. Even though we have more material that we could talk about for a long while, we will keep that for a future article on Infinity’s Radical Changes. So keep connected!

The Sword of Haqqislam

The Struggle Between Vanilla and Sectorials

"One of the biggest decisions that anyone makes when beginning any war game is what army to play. Infinity is unique because Corvus Belli has not only created the major factions in the game but has further divided those factions into smaller, more focused armies known as Sectorials; each with their own benefits and tactics. This has sparked a debate about which is better: playing the generic faction lovingly called “vanilla” by the fan base, or Sectorials. Well, I am here to tell you that neither is better than the other and it depends on what your play style is, as well as what you are trying to get out of the army that would determine whether you should play vanilla or a Sectorial. This is the next subject we are going to dive into here on the Sword of Haqqislam -  determining if you are a vanilla player, Sectorial player, or a Hybrid player."

Mercenaries and Infinity news - Major Lunah

An article by Gutier Lusquiños “Interruptor”

When facing the creation of a mercenary character with a military background, one of the first things you has to think about is defining the motive that compelled the character to abandon the army. This motivation can be the core of the character’s development, and of course, when placing them in a certain army it could define their later affiliations.
In the case of mercenaries, money is always the most evident motive, but not the only one; it is also our duty to go beyond cliché motivations. In this case Major Lunah is especially particular, because even though she has a military background, she is also a former Aristeia! champion. However, her record as Haqqislamite operative and later actions will keep her completely out of this army.
Major Lunah is a retired Husam operative who started her career in the Human Sphere’s ‘king of sports’ as a platform to expose her old special forces commanders and their atrocities of which she was witness. This bold act destroyed her sports career and turned her into a criminal in the eyes of Haqqislam, but got her recruited by the Imperial Service which, as a marketing maneuver, praised her elevated sense of justice.
Evidently, a background such as this defines the Major’s affiliation within the game, excluding her from Haqqislamite forces and placing her within the Imperial Service. However, this factor must not be the only one taken into account when placing her in the army lists. Her weaponry and skill combinations are also important.
With a mercenary character it is not in our interests to give her a kit that is redundant within her faction; she must add something that makes the faction grow, providing a different way of playing, but preferably something that makes her an option instead of a must.
And that is what happened with Major Lunah, even though it is true that Haqqislam already has Snipers with Viral Ammo, and camouflaged troops, it is not quite as true for the Imperial Service. And while you could argue that this is not vital for the Sectorial, it does provide certain variety and a different play style, which is always good for the game.
Of course, all of this just applies to ITS; in casual games the mercenaries section is an open buffet for the players.
However, the main feature of the Major Lunah, is not her profile but the new release of her model. She is a new character, profile, and a new miniature that is totally unexpected because she does not appear on the Human Sphere N3 lists. The release of a book dictates more or less what will be the new releases for approximately the following two years. It can become predictable for players, to a certain point.
To avoid monotony and to keep a bit of sense of novelty and surprise among the community, we have decided from time to time to release new profiles and rules that will come in future books. It is a way to keep the game alive and flexible without depending so much on the release of new books, and to spread a bit of the new book’s power in the meantime. This way, the Tech-Bee, el Scindron, Major Lunah… are the heralds of these new times. We hope that you enjoy them as much as we do!
Major Lunah’s troop profile will be released soon, so keep connected!

What is Aristeia!?

What is Aristeia!?

Aristeia! is the new board game from Corvus Belli, an Infinity spin-off in which two players become the managers of two competition teams for the greatest show in the Human Sphere. Players will face each other in the arena, and will have to plan their actions carefully to win.

so, Is this game independent from infinity?

Yes, absolutely independent. Aristeia! is a board game, not a miniature wargame, and has been designed from scratch as a parallel product. Although it’s still in the Infinity universe, this new board game is not compatible with the acclaimed metal miniature wargame.

Which is the Release date?

The expected release date is late 2017. Those who come and visit us at Gen ConEssen or the Interplanetary will have the opportunity to try the game in our demonstration tables.
