Greetings. Carlos “Bostria” Llauger from Corvus Belli here.
I would like to point at an specific detail of the campaign. I know that there is a lot to digest, tons of information everywhere, the PDF file is full of awesome details… we are aware of that. There is a very simple major difference between this “Strikezone: Wotan” campaign and last year “Operation: Flamestrike”: the phases.
One of the main issues with the conflict in Flamia Island was that there was no specified timeframe for the missions. The players did keep fighting the battles, accomplishing the missions and scoring points but they didn’t knew the cutoff date for the campaign. That was exhausting in a certain way and didn’t allow to design a strategy.
Well, that was the first time we were designing and running an online campaign and we learned a lot from the Flamia Island project. (..that’s a good name for a band…)

Clear cutoff dates and a well defined structure was one of the ideas that we wanted to add to “Strikezone: Wotan”. If the missions and locations change during the campaign, the players will know the timeframe they’ll have to keep pushing their results.
So, now the structure for this event is:
So, now the structure for this event is:
Phase 1 from May 29th to June 19th
Phase 2 from June 19th to July 10th
Phase 3 from July 10th to July 24th
Phase 2 from June 19th to July 10th
Phase 3 from July 10th to July 24th
This means that on June 19th the last results for certain missions could be reported but no further. And right on that day, the Wotan blockade map will change. New missions and new locations will be available, and players and factions will have to consider a new strategy.
Right now, during Phase One we know that the missions that could be played in the PanO, YuJing and Nomads area will shut down right when Phase 2 begins. While the Ariadna and Haqqislam missions will still available for fighting after June 19th.
Also, these cutoff dates generate natural crescendos of intensity during the battles and those are the moments when the medals are won, soldier.
Good luck.
